CURRENT PROGRAMS

YOUTH MENTORSHIP
One on one mentorship offers supportive services to teens to address life skills, provide tools to achieve the capacity to make wise and healthy choices, and provide guidance in the areas of schooling and careers.

WOMEN'S WORKSHOP
Our women's workshops are opportunities to come together to support one another. We meet with women in homeless shelters and domestic violence centers for crafting and to provide encouragement

Vocational Training
Vocational training prepares people to work as a technician or to take up employment in a skilled craft or trade as a tradesperson or artisan. Our instructional programs focus on careers that are most needed.

POP UP SHOPS
Our pop up shops features items from Dave's Garage, Lady B's Closet, and Ke-Styles Accessories. New & gently used clothing, shoes, books, and school supplies are available. Vendor opportunities are available.

GROUP ACTIVITIES
We motivate youth to use proper social and coping skills, encourage active learning, develop key critical-thinking, communication, decision-making skills, and provide fun activities for families and youth.

CRISIS INTERVENTION
All staff is trained in crisis intervention, to ensure the safety of each resident and staff member. Each situation is unique and will require a therapeutic approach to immediately stabilize those in crisis.

COUNSELING
We help individuals, group and families identify goals and potential solutions to problems; improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; promote behavioral change and mental health.

INDEPENDENT LIVING
We encourage and support mothers in learning the basic skills to obtain employment, manage their finances and leverage community counseling resources to care for their families and live an independent life.

DT'S COVE for boys and their families in the Cincinnati Area.
DT’s Cove is our planned group home for at-risk boys ages 5-12. Safe Haven Heritage will provide temporary housing, counseling and access to training programs that teach about careers in electrical, plumbing, and construction.

who is kecia willis
Kecia M. Willis-Harris, is the founder of Safe Haven Heritage,Inc. Safe Haven Heritage is a non-profit organization in Cincinnati, Ohio+.
Kecia M. Willis-Harris is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and the mother of one son. She is an ordained Evangelist, and received her training at Bethel COGIC, under the leadership of Superintendent James R. Willis, Sr., in Dayton,Ohio. While at Bethel, she worked diligently with the choir, youth ministries, drill team “Chosen Priesthood”, and women’s ministries.
Previously, Kecia worked as a dental assistant for 9 years; however her passion changed! After which, gained over 15 years experience in the non-profit sector as a Residential Specialist, Family Educator, Facilitator in Nurturing Parenting & Teen Parenting Programs, on the Crisis Respite Unit, Girls On The Go, a Program Manager, and a House Manager.
Kecia married and relocated to Atlanta, Ga. in 2006. She enrolled into the criminal justice program at Westwood College. Shortly, after gained employment at Tapestry Youth Ministries, as an Evening Advocate. While employed at Tapestry Youth Ministries, Kecia became very ill due to her pregnancy and began to experience several hardships including divorce. Yet, her passion continued to grow! In 2012 she worked as a Correctional Officer at the Department Of Juvenile Justice. Kecia worked as a security specialist from July 2014 to February 2017.
Kecia was a active member of The Ministry of New Life. She volunteers as an administrative assistant, summer camp counselor (Joshua Generation), and a teacher in the Christian Education department at The Ministry Of New Life. She was a member of the Nurses Guild, a minister in dance with God’s True Worshipper’s, volunteered with Feed The Hungry Foundation & a member of the community outreach team.
Kecia’s passion and desire is to see at risk youth exceed beyond limitations and well-roundedness continues as she has also designed a program for battered women and their children under the umbrella of Safe Haven Heritage, Inc.
She recently founded and is the Program Director of Safe Haven Heritage, Inc where healing begins, hope is restored and families come to life!
